NOTICES FOR PARISH BULLETIN
In order to facilitate printing we ask that all notices
and anniversaries for the parish bulletin are either
given to the sacristan or left at the parish office
by Wednesday morning at the latest.
A NEW YEAR RESOLUTION
We wish all our parishioners and
friends of the parish every blessing and happiness
in the year which has just begun. It is important
not to make too many resolutions because you know
that they will not be kept.
But there is one resolution we
would like you to make this year and it is this:

DRAW
As you know the loss of our parish
savings has left our finances very exposed and if
we can broaden the base of our Draw members it will
go in some way towards alleviating our problems. The
subscription is £5.00 a month or £60.00
for the year. The prizes are:

PRIEST'S CHRISTMAS COLLECTION
Fr. Boland would like
to thank everyone for their very generous Christmas
Collection which was taken up at the Masses on Christmas
Eve and Christmas Day.

PRAYER GROUP
The contemplative prayer group will meet on Monday
at 8.15pm in the Parochial House. Everyone welcome.

PARISH DRAW
The 2010 Parish Draw will soon commence and we hope
to have our first Draw on Thursday 28 January. We
therefore ask all promoters to call at the parish
office this week to collect their lists and Draw cards
so that we can get the Draw underway.
HOLY FAMILY PADRE PIO GROUP
The Holy Family Padre Pio Prayer
Group will hold their first monthly meeting of their
5th year in the Holy Family Church, Ballymagroarty,
Derry on Monday 11 January starting with 7.30pm Mass.
There will be two 1st class relics of St. Pio at the
meeting. All are welcome.
PADRE PIO MASS
The Padre Pio Mass will take place
in the Church on Wednesday 13 January at 7.00pm. Rosary
at 6.45pm.
LOURDES 2010
An Information Evening will be held in "The Den"
on Wednesday 13 January at 7.30pm to discuss the year's
proposed pilgrimage to Lourdes (21-28 July 2010).

THORNHILL CENTRE
"Prayer in Daily Life": This weekly 8-session
course begins in Thornhill Centre, 121 Culmore Road
on Monday 18 January from 7.30pm until 9.30pm for
those interested in developing their prayer life in
a simple but effective way. This is an opportunity
to use the Bible in prayer. All welcome. Cost: £4.00

FOUNDATIONS IN LITURGY
A 12-week Liturgy course led by the Thornhill Centre
team will be held in Sion Mills Parish Centre beginning
Tuesday 19 January 2010 from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. This
course is designed to foster an understanding of the
richness of the Liturgy of the Church, examining core
elements and symbols of our ritual and worship. Course
